{"id":1777,"date":"2025-07-18T00:43:48","date_gmt":"2025-07-18T00:43:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hillsinthevalley.com\/blog\/?p=1777"},"modified":"2025-07-25T16:53:09","modified_gmt":"2025-07-25T16:53:09","slug":"the-colors-clash-but-freedom-still-matters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hillsinthevalley.com\/blog\/the-colors-clash-but-freedom-still-matters\/","title":{"rendered":"The Colors Clash \u2014 But Freedom Still Matters"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>June is loud. | It\u2019s bold. | It\u2019s covered in rainbows. \ud83c\udf08<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But for many of us \u2014 especially as Christians \u2014 the noise can blur the meaning of something deeper.<br><strong>Something sacred.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 19th.<\/strong><br>Not just another summer day.<br>Not another identity celebration.<br>Not Pride.<br><strong>It\u2019s Freedom from human slavery.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udfe5 The day freedom finally <em>reached<\/em> the enslaved in Galveston, Texas \u2014<br>\ud83d\udfe9 Two years after it was promised.<br>\u2b1b A day drenched in pain, hope, and power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yet in all the rainbow branding and parades, it\u2019s getting lost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>&#8220;As a believer, I celebrate truth \u2014 not confusion.&#8221;<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/4mizq2R\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/4mizq2R\">https:\/\/amzn.to\/4mizq2R<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes, the colors clash.<br>No, I won\u2019t bow to trends.<br>And no, I won\u2019t let <em>Juneteenth<\/em> be swallowed by today&#8217;s trending agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because <strong>freedom from slavery<\/strong> is not just Black history \u2014<br>It\u2019s <em>God\u2019s heart.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Freedom delayed is still worth remembering.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Justice revealed is still worth honoring.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> And Juneteenth deserves more than mistaken identity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>So let\u2019s set it apart.<br>Let\u2019s teach our children the truth.<br>Let\u2019s celebrate with clarity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because this day isn\u2019t about whatcha call it? \u2014 #phew <br><strong>It\u2019s about <em>liberation<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/4mizq2R\">https:\/\/amzn.to\/4mizq2R<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chao! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>June is loud. | It\u2019s bold. | It\u2019s covered in rainbows. \ud83c\udf08 But for many of us \u2014 especially as Christians \u2014 the noise can blur the meaning of something deeper.Something sacred.
