The Colors Clash — But Freedom Still Matters

June is loud. | It’s bold. | It’s covered in rainbows. 🌈

But for many of us — especially as Christians — the noise can blur the meaning of something deeper.
Something sacred.

June 19th.
Not just another summer day.
Not another identity celebration.
Not Pride.
It’s Freedom from human slavery.

🟥 The day freedom finally reached the enslaved in Galveston, Texas —
🟩 Two years after it was promised.
⬛ A day drenched in pain, hope, and power.

Yet in all the rainbow branding and parades, it’s getting lost.

“As a believer, I celebrate truth — not confusion.”

Yes, the colors clash.
No, I won’t bow to trends.
And no, I won’t let Juneteenth be swallowed by today’s trending agenda.

Because freedom from slavery is not just Black history —
It’s God’s heart.

  • Freedom delayed is still worth remembering.
  • Justice revealed is still worth honoring.
  • And Juneteenth deserves more than mistaken identity.

So let’s set it apart.
Let’s teach our children the truth.
Let’s celebrate with clarity.

Because this day isn’t about whatcha call it? — #phew
It’s about liberation.
