Hi there! My name is Omoyemi Akinwande, author of The Hills in the Valley ^TM. I am super excited that you stumbled upon this page and decided to spend a few minutes with me. Maybe you’re wondering, “What does she have to say?” I know, I know – there’s nothing new under the sun, but I believe you’re in search of knowledge, information, updates, etc., and that’s highly commendable. As they say, the moment we stop learning, we start dying.

“The human mind is a battleground constantly searching, and the ignorance of what you don’t know at any given time is not an indication of its non-existence.” -Akinwande, O. (2015).

It’s a call to search for the truth, even if it means disregarding the countless hours spent surfing at least three social media platforms at a time, spending nothing less than four hours daily jumping from one medium to another, as reported by Hootsuite (2021).

The Hills in the Valley is a story book relating the life of a young child born with a ‘wooden spoon in her mouth’ and against all odds, her decision to survive.

Though set to reveal some primitive and abominable act done to children, especially female ones, and the challenges an average child from a certain social class would face to rise to the top, it portrays strength, survival, thriving, becoming-all-that-you can-ever-imagine-or think, reaching the heart of every culturally diverse reader.

Life has indeed been given but with nothing assured! Hope and will-power are strong forces that can propel you to a course in life, healing you of any heart-shattering emotional encounters while bearing some brunt maybe.

Slyly keeping the skeleton in the closet, Kim Jerry hides that he is already the father of 4 kids, when he marries Ashley. Bridled with the initial deceit, their marriage starts with Aliana encountering distress.

The couples persistence in achieving parenthood collectively, and their belief in a force unexplainable, grants them the birth of a beautiful girl.
