You’re at a restaurant. The food is really good. There are just a few bites left.
Do you finish it?
Or leave a little so you don’t look greedy?
Somewhere along the way, many of us — especially women — learned that looking “classy” means holding back. Eat less. Want less. Don’t seem too eager. But who decided that?
There is nothing wrong with finishing your food. You ordered it. You enjoyed it. You’re still hungry. That’s normal. And there is nothing wrong with stopping when you’re full either.
Real class is simple. It’s knowing yourself. It’s not performing for people at the table.
And during Lent, this matters even more.
Lent is a time to slow down. To refresh your spirit. To renew your mind. To ask yourself: Am I doing this because I feel pressure… or because it feels right?
Maybe the plate isn’t just about food.
Maybe it’s about approval. About trying to look a certain way.
This season invites us to live with intention.
If you’re hungry, eat.
If you’re full, stop.
But don’t let insecurity make the choice for you.
Until next time… keep rising and stay on top!
